Private Pix™ - Security Features

Private Pix™ has many security features that make your pictures safe from
prying eyes.
Extra Strong Encryption:
Private Pix™ now has the ability to encrypt files with Triple DES, Blowfish 448 bits, Twofish, MARS,
AES-Advanced Encryption Standard (Rijndael), Serpent, and Skipjack using the built-in Strong Encryption Package.
This means your pictures are even more secure
from prying eyes. These encryption types are not available in the demo program, but will be activated once you purchase Private Pix™.
Encryption with File Name Scrambling:
Private Pix™ comes with support for Media Stealth, Fast Encryption, and DES. The encryption type is automatically selected for
the best performance of the machine. When a picture file is encrypted,
it is no longer readable by any image viewer except Private Pix™ until the file
is unencrypted again.
Private Pix™ has a file name scrambling feature that scrambles
the filename into unreadable characters that are only understandable to Private
Pix™ and Private Encryptor™. The original file names are still viewable
under Private Pix™ and can be restored by unencrypting again. File names
are automatically scrambled when a picture is encrypted and restored again when
unencrypted.

Hide In Picture / MP3 Encryption:
The new Hide In Picture mode uses a "cloaking" graphic to hide the true media file. When someone tries to view the encrypted media with a normal image viewer, they will see the "cloaking" graphic instead. Only you can see the hidden file using Private Pix™! To use this setting, you will be asked to set up a folder with images to be used as "cloaking" graphics.
Hide In MP3 mode is identical to Hide In Picture mode, except that it hides your data inside an MP3 file rather than an image file. This is an advanced feature that may take a bit of experimentation to get used to. For more information, refer to the User's Manual.

Hidden Folders:
Hidden folders are a special new feature that allow you to create "secret" directories that only you can see! When you hide a folder, that folder becomes invisible to all programs except Private Pix™. Even other Windows users who use Private Pix™ won't be able to see them! As far as other programs and users are concerned, your hidden folder does not even exist. It's the ultimate security method! Other people can't try to view your secret media if they can't even find the files, right?

Password:
Private Pix™ is password protected by default, so that only you can access your secret
media collection! However, you can turn password protection off from the settings tab if you find this feature inconvenient.

Key:
The encryption/decryption key can be changed for any and every
picture. This gives the user control over which pictures are viewable by
whomever happens to know that key.

Auto Encrypt:
When turned on, this option will encrypt every media file that is viewed by the user. Note that using this option will
encrypt with the current encryption key and you should be cautious about
changing the key when this option is enabled.
